Family Code of Conduct

By purchasing a package with Soccer Routes you herby agree to adhere to our code of conduct.

If you are found in violation of this code of conduct, you may be removed from the program without notice or refund.

All family members and visitors to Soccer Routes agree to uphold this code of conduct.

Families enrolled in the program will be held responsible for the conduct of any guests they bring to the location.

  • Families will get their player to sessions on time and make an effort to ensure they are in play condition. (Uniform / proper shoes / shin guards when needed)

  • Families are expected to model behavior consistent with good sportsmanship.

  • Families that yell excessively, or are abusive to players, other families or staff will be asked to leave the field / removed from the program at their complete expense.

  • Families that disrespect the coach, the staff, the session, players or other parents will be asked to leave the field.

  • Families that demonstrate these behaviors will not only be asked to leave the game, they may be asked to leave the program.

  • Families cheer; coaches coach. We ask that you cheer for all children from the sidelines. Please allow the coach to provide any feedback to the parents after the session.

  • No coaching from the sideline. You are not a coach. It’s confusing for the players to receive coaching direction from multiple sideline sources.

  • During practices parents are not allowed on the field. Parents should stay on the sidelines marked by our perimeter cones.

  • Families are expected to stand back from the sideline. The players need room on the sideline to take throw ins. Parents need to stand well back from the sideline, showing the players that the touchline is an important line for out of bounds.

  • If a spectator(s) fails to respond to a coaches request to cease and desist from improper behavior, the coach is empowered to terminate the session.

  • Cheer, but don’t criticize. Know the difference between cheering (“nice pass,” “good run,” “way to go”) and criticizing (“run faster,” “kick harder,” “what are you doing?”). Kids are positively motivated by cheering.

  • Exit field after session swiftly. Please allow us to reset for the next session.

  • Pick up all litter after games and practices. After every practice and every game, leave the field cleaner than you found it. Soccer Routes is not responsible for client belongings and will not hold any lost items.

Soccer Routes Coaches Feedback Policy

At Soccer Routes, we believe that constructive and honest feedback is essential for the development of our players. As part of our commitment to delivering high-quality coaching, providing feedback to families is a core component of our service. To ensure this process is effective and beneficial, we have established the following policies:

  1. Honest and Constructive Feedback: Soccer Routes coaches will provide regular, truthful feedback based on each player’s technical, tactical, physical, and mental development. This feedback is intended to help players grow and reach their full potential. Families should expect candid assessments as part of our professional approach. This is not personal and is not a criticism of yourself, your player or your family.

  2. Open Communication: We encourage an open line of communication between our coaches and families. Parents and guardians are welcome to ask for clarification or further insight into their child's progress. However, all feedback provided by our coaches should be received in the spirit of development and improvement. Coaches decisions are final.

  3. Respectful Interaction: We ask that all families approach feedback with a positive and receptive attitude. Coaches are professionals who are dedicated to helping each player succeed. Aggressive, confrontational, or disrespectful responses to feedback will not be tolerated and may result in a review of your child’s and families participation in our program.

  4. Partnership for Growth: Soccer Routes views the player’s development as a partnership between the coaching staff and families. By fostering an environment of mutual respect and understanding, we can work together to support the player’s long-term success both on and off the field.

  5. Zero Tolerance for Aggression: Any form of aggressive behavior—whether verbal or physical—towards our coaches or staff will result in immediate action, which could include suspension or removal from the program. We maintain a safe and respectful environment for all participants.

By enrolling in Soccer Routes, families agree to these policies and acknowledge that feedback is a fundamental aspect of our coaching philosophy. Together, we aim to create a positive and supportive atmosphere for every player to thrive.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in respecting our program’s schedule and policies.

All families agree to these and all policies upon joining and continuing in our program. This is applicable to all who step foot upon a Soccer Routes premises, field, location, class or interact with any member of staff.
